Polymer Clay Jewelry
The innovative jewelry of Sue Savage is not about high-polish, modern design. Inspired by nature's colors, textures, and patterns, Sue uses polymer clay and incorporates natural stones, pearls, handmade elements and fine quality metals to reflect unique natural beauty. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, a thick glossy finish gives depth and the look of fine enamel work. Further embellishment via drawing, riveting, lacing or adding semiprecious and precious elements, then mounting each piece on sterling silver.

Each piece is designer-created in Savage's Petersburg, Alaska studio, incorporating a combination of ancient and modern processes and materials. She starts with a layered collection of colors, reflective of her surroundings, which are then marred and hand-sliced to create the base pallet. Feeling driven to express is a blessing that allows the artist to move beyond her self censorship and find joy in creating.
